About Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity

As your own special tribute, this online page can become a place of comfort to visit any time or place, in order to help you remember and reflect. You can do many things including posting stories, favourite pictures and memories, or lighting a candle. As everything is stored centrally everyone can access at any time.

Thank you for considering us at this difficult time and donating in such a special way.

Fundraising groups are a group of friends, family or people from the local community interested in fundraising to support Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. They fundraise for an agreed area, be that a piece of much needed equipment, a particular ward or a medical specialism over a period of time, normally at least for 6-12 months. Registering as a Fundraising Group means our Community Team is on hand to assist you fully with your fundraising, including hints and tips, loan of fundraising items such as collection tins and buckets and presentation cheques, as well as networking opportunities with other groups. If you are interesting in starting or joining a Fundraising Group, please contact Angela Rowe on 0161 901 5258 or email angela.rowe@cmft.nhs.uk

One Sunday evening ten-year-old Kitty from Ashton under Lyne started to lose consciousness. Here her mum tells us about how she felt her daughter slipping away; how ‘Any Dream Will Do’ became their anthem and how she will always be grateful to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital…Click here to read Kitty’s story in full.

With your help our charity funds projects which ensure continued excellence in treatment, care and research. Projects like providing Giggle Doctors for the children’s hospital help bring fun, magic and entertainment in hospital. Staying in hospital can be a daunting and anxious experience for many children, by providing distractions from the stresses that a hospital stay can bring and enable our patients to feel important, happy and able to cope.
